Resumen CV:PhD. José Folgueras-Méndez Electrical Engineer, Máster in Electronic of the Solid State, Dr. in Sciences Physique Mathematics of the University of Havana. Vice-president of the Cuban Society of Bioingineering, member of the Medical Association of the Caribbean AMECA and Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers IEEE. Regular investigator of the Central Institute of Digital Investigation (ICID) where, from 1967 and during 25 years he has been worked at the field of the Microelectronics and the medical applications of the electric stimulation, from 1990 at the 2007 directed an investigation-development department in the ICID. He is Regular Professor (1981), Regular Investigator (1980), President of the National Tribunal of Grade in Electronic and Telecommunications and Regular Academic of the Academy of Sciences of Cuba. President of the National Judgement of Grade in Automatic and Calculation for many years. It has published more than 50 works and it has presented and participated in multiple events in Cuba and abroad. He is author or joint author of 13 patents in Cuba granted by the OCPI and it has been tutor of several thesis of Master and Doctorate.

Ha dirigido trabajos de diploma en ingeniería eléctrica y Física, así como tesis de maestría en eficiencia energética, ingeniería eléctrica e informática, si como dirige varios aspirantes de doctorado en gestión de ciencia e innovación tecnológica. Tiene numerosas publicaciones y ponencias en eventos internacionales sobre la innovación tecnológica y sistemas de generación de electricidad solar fotovoltaica. Hizo posdoctoral en el Royal Institute of Technology (KTH, Estocolmo, Suecia) sobre electrodos para celdas combustibles alcalinas y ha participado en varios proyectos y conferencias internacionales CYTED sobre utilización de fuentes renovables de energía. Impartió una conferencia magistral en la Universidad Autónoma de Puebla en el marco del V Congreso Internacional de Ingeniería Industrial en octubre de 2007, sobre el enfoque sistémico de la modelación para la gestión de procesos.
